Hotel Style….

                              If you love great interiors and design and you love Spain, then you will love Madrid’s newest and stylish hotel…. Barceló Emperatriz.

To me its looks a dream, its 5 star and has the most fabulous interior, I have added this to my ‘to do’ list, whether I will ever get there is another matter but a girl can dream. The boutique styled new concept hotel opened earlier this year and before they ‘styled’ it they listened to more than 2000 of their future guests to see what they would like to see in a hotel,the result is fabulous.

 

It takes its interiors inspiration in its style and colour schemes from Eugenia de Montijo, who was a 19th century empress who was a staunch supporter of equality for women…..I do like the sound of her indeed. The Interior Designer is Ernesto de Ceano and he has gone for modern glamour and a love it, violet and purple tones crop up throughout the hotel, Ernesto has also used teal,mustard and damson tones with great effect too, there are gorgeous metallic artworks and neo-barque mirrors and everywhere fabulous floral arrangements by Kildo Esparza. Marble bathrooms, laufen washbasins and flattering lighting too, also bathing products by Agua de Loewe and easy to use Hansgrohe showers and separate baths, some of the rooms have whirlpool tubs, terraces and balconies. I do love boutique hotels they always inspire me……take a look for yourself.

So not only do you get stylish interiors, rooms and restaurants and roof top pool….you also get all your tech and beauty needs catered for…….like ghd straighteners in every room and anti-OX breakfasts for the health conscious too, also on the tech front you get free WiFi, iPads for every guest and a mini media hub in every room..!!! the hotel also provides each guest with a specialist that will create their perfect stay..wow !! Single rooms starts at about £149 a night so its not cheap but just think what a perfect hip city weekend stay or a wonderful honeymoon stay.

Its located in the Salamanca area right in the centre and its next to the The Paseo de la Castellana and Calle Serrano…..culture and style together fabulous. Its a great area of Madrid and is surrounded by sophisticated restaurants and boutiques, sounds a dream. The Emperatriz’s restaurant Mutis is decorated to a high standard and is based on the Empress’s love of nature with large floral motifs. I have fallen in love with this décor, hope you fall in love with it too…so know I am saving my pennies and daydreaming….D xx
